Grinding noise from front left

Tonight I noticed when getting home a loud grinding noise coming from the front left, bit like screeching rails when a train stops, the car seemed to be driving and handling fine.
I'm thinking wheel bearing?
Anything else it could be?
I need the car car tomorrow and planning on having a look in the morning to see if I can see anything obvious.

Be brake related not wheel bearing.

Go for a short drive and coast to a stop - hold your hand near (or touch - briefly!) the discs, and if one is warm/hot and the others are cold, the hot one will have a sticking caliper.

The brake pads are worn metal to metal on the LHF disc.
f**k knows how it passed an MOT.

First thing I did when I got home was checked the brake disk temp, it was warm so no sticking brake pad, pads all have good amount left on them.
