Had Aux belt replaced... and was FUMING!

Well... had the aux belt replaced and all seemed fine. Was out a few mins ago, and realised that one of my headlamp & indicator (offside) unit wasnt working! Middle of nowhere in the pitch black I decided to investigate. Shined the torch down there and hey presto, the plugs for that headlamp were disconnected. How unprofessional is that!!! Managed to reconnect the plugs (very hard in the dark, and have scratched my hand with a combination of tight space and frustration) and all seems ok. But it hardly inspires confidence in the rest of the work that was done... if they cant be arsed to connect the headlamp/indicator up!

Whilst reconnecting the lamps, I noticed a lot of moisture at the bottom.... and I seemed to have traced it coming off the pipe (indicated below). I presume that is condensation off the cold pipe. Is that normal???

Just noticed.....id get them to fit the new type of engine mount too while they were at it!

i see you still have the old shape one that can cause knocking with age/abuse.

On the subject of the engine mount.... currently there is no knocking but when the engine is idling, the lumpy nature of the engine does meant that the engine wobbles a fair bit.

Is it a big job getting it replaced> Do the other engine mount(s) also have to be replaced??

Cheers for your assistance Chris. :D

no mate...its just that one engine mount. Gearbox mounts are pretty strong unless your brutal, so you should be fine with just that one.

If you look at my mount below you can see two extra rubber bungs either side of the existing mount. Its a retro-fit job that is covered by Renault warranty. Its not so much at idle where you would notice it, more likely to happen when backing off the throttle at high rpm.

just a thought, if your car is in anyway matey.
