Help - torsion bar

Hi!

I have a Clio...but I also have a Renault 5, and I know this is a Clio site, but I think my question is the same with Clio or 5 in it...

So, I decided to lower my car. I heard that with new shocks in front I can buy something like Eibach springs 40mm shorter...but since most of french cars, Clio an 5, have torsion bar. Is it complicated to make it 40mm down, should I give it to a pro or can I do it with a little help of my neighbour mechanic, who is well experienced.

Also, I saw couple of modified cars at the last Steet Race Event Ive been, and one geezer claims that he lowered his Twingo by 180mm...http://srki777.tripod.com/novica4.jpghttp://srki777.tripod.com/novica4.jpg - thats the picture. He lives few miles from me, but I dont know the guy...I want to meet him :)

So, I would like to get some advices...thanks.
