Pick up an 05 182 tomorrow, looks to be a decent solid car for the money.

Planning on a fast road/track build.... just like many others!!

I'll post some pics of the car and a project thread once its here and we have spent some time together!

Haha, the car community seems that way in general to he honest!

I'm a bit of a rally car nut, so currently restoring a Subaru Impreza WRX to Group N spec so we can do some stage rallying this summer.

Just sold my T5.1 VW transporter, and running about in a 2.0 tdi Caddy at the moment.

Longer term project is my 93 Escort Cosworth, was a GpN 909 shell originally but building that to GpA "clubman" spec (mainly as the parts are incredibly hard to find and very ££)

Clio for me is a good choice to have a bit of flat out fun round the B roads and the odd track day really! But we'll see!

Yeah we’re going to need pictures. Plenty of Scooby/rally fans on here (myself included), @massiveCoRbyn recently did Snetterton stages in a Group N hatch STI.

And it goes without saying that we’re absolutely going to need pictures of the Escort too.

That one was just a home-brew clubman car. Had a standard engine, slightly pikey wide-track suspension and a close-ratio gearbox. I did one (disastrous) event in it, then sold it. It's now been converted into a road rally car:

I do own a proper F2 car, but it's missing a lot of bits unfortunately. I've got the shell, engine, and brakes, but missing gearbox and most of the suspension. I'm going to try and make some progress with it this year if I can:

You got the mountune spec engine? Hearing these screaming through the Welsh forests as a kid was a experience!

This was the spec of the Impreza when I got it, it's just a WRX import despite the roof flap and stickers....

I got it from a guy who had been using it on track days and "built" it himself.....quite a sad story behind his sale, but that's for another day.

I have spent over 2 years stripping all the stickers, tat and Chinese bits off it and slowly turning it into something useable.... it has some nice bits on it but a lot of crap....

Funny, I've also had a couple of 2.0 Zetec swapped Escorts in my day Had loads of Escorts, lots of good memories.

Yeah it has the slide-throttle Mountune engine. Needs a rebuild, but is complete. Even got the original Pectel ECU, but will probably swap that out for something more modern. Just trying to get my friend to sell me his Xtrac gearbox!

Impreza looks nice. What gearbox do you have? I hired one from Dylan Davies for the Snetterton round of the circuit championship last month. It was a lot of fun and definitely gave me the bug to do more events!

So, picked up the car and looks like you'll be seeing more of me!

She is a 05 plate, 114k with full service history, 2 keys and all the original service packs etc.... last owner for 6 years, totally standard and hpi clear.


Main dealer part exchange and she was a snip for what I paid I think!!

Almost too good to track so need to decide if that's still my plan or just enjoy a nice clean and standard car....
