How much to refurb this type of wheel?

Not your standard single colour wheel, I believe its called diamond cut and suffer from severe corrosion :(... avg price to refurb is normally ~£45 but due to the type im assuming it would cost a touch more... anyone had exp with this type? results? recommendations?

they the anniversary wheels of a golf ?

from my experience you cant refurb the faces back to standard .. well within reasonable prices. from what i remember the face is machined then laquered. if it was just a small spot you could get away with it .. in all honesty mate your better of finding a new colour you like then getting all 4 painted or just have the faces painted and refurbed

anniversaries have bbs', these are called Santa Monicas, though i think the anni wheels are the same type apart from the anthracite on the inner sides.

I guess thats the easiest option, but these wheels in all one colour look pretty crap tbh.

ah i see my mates got the sames ones on his 180bhp anni model.

he has the exact same problem .... have you though of selling them apparently they fetch quite a bit and them put some fake bbs on ? will cost you about the same in total

mint ones will sell for around 400-500, in this condition not much. Going to keep these wheels, as theres nothing else i prefer, plus anni wheels are 18'' iirc and 225/45/17 is enough tbh!

if they were my wheels, i would wet sand the faces and polish up via rotary, should come up a treat.

Diamond cutting isn't cheap. The Wheel Specialist do some wet paint based finishes which are then powder lacquered that replicate it. It never looks as good as the real deal, but BMW dealerships and the like tend to go for it, as it's better than having shabby wheels.

gotta admit they do look best as standard id either go all anth or anth with silver faces... all silver looks a bit odd imo

think that my options are pretty limited to someone who can actually do a good job tbh, will deffo do abit more research and see who I can find.

going to go for standard, just a matter of making quite a few phonecalls, id be willing to travel to get a proper job done tbh

The thing with the Wheel Specialist is they are Franchises. I can vouch for the work Leeds do as it's my stepdad and he's a perfectionist, Manchester do a very good job too. But it's only as good as the people doing it.

ask at bmw dealers, as the m3 wheels are the same as these and they can get them done. they always turn out looking duller than original but better than what there like at the minute.

Arm and leg spring to mind... Id consider going to a dealer as an ultimate last resort.

  Dodgy one
We send our polished wheels off to Pristine wheels,

TBH they do a very good job, Box them up, they send a courier and they return them back within a week, However if they have set in their stock they send a set out, well they do to us anyway :p
