Induction kit or Replacement element

Ive been reading through my haynes clio max power manual thingy. They have both airfilter sections in there, Induction kits and replacement elements.

I know K&N do both with the elements being cheaper than the inductions. But which is better? I know they wont give much if any extra bhp, but they might help a little with the responce of the car. I dont realy want it for the noise just better performance.

So which is better and why. Also what are the pros/cons of each?

Cheers Phil

The basics are that the IK cant draw enough cool air to make the principle of an IK work as well as it should. It may even lose power/torque at lower revs. But hey, its an RT and that shouldnt matter too much.
