at the moment id say Admiral seem to be the cheapest for most people, from a proper company with a proper policy anyway

though their isnt a cheapest insurer, some charge more than others on many different factors, you have to shop around see what you can get, its getting silly now with the prices over the last 2 years

Yea i know its mad Im 22 paying £1000 on my 172 cup with all my mods listed and that lad is 20 with a subaru impreza wrx and paying £900 how does that work out

I am currently shopping for car insurance too. Been driving 5 years (and been on my parents insurance all this time). My current insurer (Tesco) want £800 for renewal on a 1.9 TDi Ibiza. Admiral are definitely cheapest for me at the min £700 (On my own policy). Still shopping around though as it doesn't run out for another month.

s**t service though.

  172 cup
I've just renewed mine, and prices ranged from 1300 to 640! Cheapest for me was Sky Insurance for the second year in a row... I assume it depends if it's modified or not as to where's cheapest.

Clio's are favoured by younger drivers, there have probably been more Clios smashed than that paticular type of WRX thus making it more of a risk in the eyes of an insurance loss adjuster.

There are so many variations in insurace quotations its almost impossible to compare one to the next.

My mates a police officer with a 330d and his insurance company wouldnt cover him on a 182 until hes 25, work that out

Just done my renewal and after a bit of shopping around Admiral was cheapest, followed by Brentacre, Aviva, Sky and Adrian Flux.

Feel free to give my company a try, historically we have always specialised in Japanese Import car insurance.. If you are looking to insure an Impreza or Evo, most specialists (my company included) have age restrictions starting at 25.
