Intend to really look after this one, detailing advice much appreciated :)

  Black Gold with cup packs
I am picking up my 5th Renaultsport my 2nd Monaco Blue 172cup very soon and have every intention on keeping the bodywork ect looking in top shape all year around. Here is a list of the current products I use to clean my car and would like some advice if the products I am using are any good and what products I should be using to get the best out of the Monaco Blue colour. I have never really been solid into the detailing scene but wish to from this car onwards.
I clean my car on a regular basis using the following products using advised methods, but I am uncertain about my product choice and any infomation and help would go a long long way.

Zymol auto wash applied using the two bucket method and a lambs wool wash mitt.
I have a larger Meguiars microfibe drying towel
Auto glym intensive tar remover (if need be)
Auto glym Super Resin Polish
Auto Glym Extra Gloss Protection
Auto Glym Metal Polish
Zymol Cleaner wax (liquid)
I have 2 Meguiars applicator pads

Cheers guys

Only thing I would recommend is a good proper paste wax. Couldnt really give much opinions on a load of different waxes, as Ive only used AG HD wax. I think its really good, plus you get a load of stuff with it, ie applicator sponge and polishing cloth :)

You could get some interior items too. I would recommend poorboys natural look dressing!

Oh and some CG new look trim gel for the tyres :)

....and some CG wheel sealant too :)

Shall I carry on lol! ;)

nice collection there mate....

detailing clay... http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detai...ltra-fine-detailing-clay-sampler/prod_83.html

investment in a good hard wax is a must, Collinite 476s is a very easy to use wax, and has excellent durabilty.. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/collinite-no-476s-super-doublecoat-auto-wax/prod_207.html

a quick detailer Red mist for instance... http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/dodo-juice/dodo-juice-red-mist-250ml/prod_540.html

few more to be going on with there..;)

So the products I currently use are adequate? But incorporate the above products into my cleaning method (as it states on the tin).

yeah....

wash the car, then use the clay, this will remove the contaminents that are on the bodywork, take your time with it and it will pay off big time.
re-wash the car and dry completely... you will then be left with a blank canvas to apply the products. if your car does suffer from swirls the SRP will help reduce these, it wont sadly remove them if applying by hand, but a good few coats of it with help reduce there appearance
this is where you could either stick with your liquid wax, or opt for a hard/soft wax. the reason i went for the Collies, is i use it with all my customers cars, it has a fantastic durabilty and adds real depth and gloss to the finish....plus its at a price that doesnt blow the bank. or you go go for a colour charged one from Dodo, choice really is up to you....

Just as a guide. i had a free weekend so went to work on the 172, did almost the same process as above, with a few added bits, but this is how yours could look after (obviously not red).

The Zymol Cleaner Wax will remove SRP and EGP if you apply it after them...

Red Mist is a Spray Sealant, not a 'QD' as such, so be aware of that.

You don't need to top EGP with a Wax... it's an option. Assuming you want to, what's your budget?
