Iridium vs Platinum plugs

Now from what i have been reading, there is not a huge difference other then Iridium should last longer

Looking at the NGK site it also lists the Iridium as an upgrade to the platinum plugs...

They are megane 225 plugs i was looking at btw

So why is it that the Iridium plugs seem to cost less then the platinum ones??
Although on ebay i can get 4 of either type for around £25 + postage.

I would stick with platinums to be honest, they less fragile than iridium.
