After being surrounded by Renaultsports all my driving life I finally took the plunge myself and purchased a non cup FF 197 to replace my tired VW Lupo for run about duties.
Its an honest car that seems to have had a very easy life.
Its on 50k miles,4 owners and everything seems to just work.
Its very mild compared to friends 182 Track cars or RS250 ring weapons or even my cousins r26.R but its a fundementally good car that will still make me smile on a good road.
Its also a perfect compliment to my pride and joy... a properly used 996 GT3
My first ever ring trip was in the passenger seat of a 197 Cup so it holds a special place on my heart and I cant wait to get to know it a little better.
Its also been a while since Ive owned a french hatch so will no doubt be on here asking for advice.
