Last month of mobile phone contract

Do they take a payment? Sounds stupid but when i was in phones4u they were saying you've got three month left on your current contract but you don't pay the last month so here's £50 (£25pm) for the two payments you've got left to cover.

Is this correct? :S

p.s I haven't actually changed contracts yet.

They'll keep taking payment forever until you tell them...

Yep it will just carry on. If you don't take the upgrade (assuming there is one) you will just roll on, but be out of contract.
