Left Indicator Rapid Flash

Hi all,

My GF had an alarm fitted to her clio yday. I then noticed that her left indicator rapidly clicks (faster than usual and faster than the right.) I then also noticed the left rear and side indicator light flashes fast, the front left does not seem to be working.

This all happened after the alarm was fitted. Whats the explanation?

Bulb blown = more current to other compnonents = faster flash/ticking noise?

Electrician mucked up?

Thanks in advance

fast flashing indicator almost always means blown bulb - i think the alarm could just be coincidence. Change the bulb and hopefully it will be cured.

yup, the flashing of the indicators is controlled by the resistance of bulbs x capacitace of control unit (CR value in seconds) so when a bulb blows the CR is reduced hence a quicker flash !
