I thought i would give this a go as everyone elses looks good :D Car is 75% complete which needs some final touches to the spec + detail.

So first thing on the list was to remove and repaint the mesh in black on the bumper as it's now silver. Simple process which takes approx 2hrs to do. At the same time i removed, stripped down and painted the lights :)

So now the bumper and lights are back on looking :coolsm: Will update the strip, clean and tuning as i go along. Any usefull suggestions welcome ;)

I have to be carefull what i do with this one as there where only 10 made. You alter the looks to much and it will lose value. The alloys are the standard Extreme S alloys refurbed in gunmetal. They are very light.

The plate does look odd where it is now. I have 2 options. 1 refit the orginal bracket, 2 by a nother stick on plate and put it below the passanger side light. Not sure which one yet. There is always a risk the paint has faded around the plate which is another factor also.

One more pic of the alloys + you see the rear APs.

Few more bits done today 30/06/09

Tidied up the engine bay as there where wires going every where. Moved the boost solenoid over to the left and re-routed all cables which can be seen by the IC pipe.

Bonnet vent also removed and repainted as it was silver.

Getting the bay ready for the next round of parts to be fitted. Coil on plug & AMS VSR inlet will be going on next week ready for the new turbo :naughty:

The mirrors are shocking, it needs OE ones!

As for the plate, the sticker under the light is the best option!

How many white/red Extreme's were made?

Waiting back on confirmation from Extreme but i am sure there where only 10 Extreme S made in total. Tapped ready to go.

AMS inlet arrived on Friday. Hmmmm nice and shinny. Role on Wednesday :)

All these evo's can't be that good or you would have kept one for longer than 5 minutes....

So so so so so so wrong :rasp: You can't surely be serious with that comment!

I have been offered a IX MR running the same power as this and i want.

If it sells within 2 weeks great if not she stays. Remember how i choose to spend my hard earned ££££ is upto me.

iirc Ant has never lost much money from all the cars he's had... so why not!

Time for that Pajero Evo? ;)

Don't get me wrong i'd have any of the cars you've owned and posted on here, but it seems like you can never find one you're happy with?

thought that would be the case. I bought the redline mag to read about your previous evo. I still dont get what it is you are/do. One man tuner? Buy, tune, sell, make a quick 2k or perhaps more depending on bargain spending. This a hobbie? Think you said you prefer to tune them ureself rather than paying bucks for a "proper" tunner.

Then im thinking.. if thats the case, I wouldnt buy an evo that youve personally tunned..buy,tune,sell with no warranty or thought put into reliablility? The buyer cant complain to a tunner about the work if its you doing it and not a garage. That not an issue? (i also wouldnt buy one uve had simply because it feels like its a ****. Like a notch on your bed post type of feeling. Like i wouldnt date a mates gf) lol

I guess i just dont get it.

You are missing the point. I source all my own parts from the US so i don't have to pay over the odds from a supplier over here. Obivioulsy i can't map, change the engine, turbo + service because the car will not hold it's value donkey dick :rasp: That Evo out of Redline had a 12k engine along with a 4k turbo kit, 1k fuel system, 2k brakes, 1k suspension, 2k clutch and one of the best mappers in the UK. Hardly call that unreliable numb nuts. Also i have seen some of the builds that some of these so called Evo specialist like Norris Designs have done. Not the best. I try and get the best i can for my money without paying over the odds. That does not make me a tuner or a trader. My money fella not yours. If these so called Evos where so bad that i have owned, why do they sell within a few days?

that was what i thought tbh. but fair do's up to the OP at the end of the day. i just couldn't put up with ringing the insurance company every other week and having V5's flying about. would do my nut in.

Money technically buys development and therefore reliability, fair enough, You pay what you get. (you didnt have to brag about how much tho). You attach a 4k turbo to a 12k engine and and leave someone else to do the map putting reliability on the the mapper and the product developers.

Also i have seen some of the builds that some of these so called Evo specialist like Norris Designs have done. Not the best. I try and get the best i can for my money without paying over the odds.

Knocking the competition..you sure ure not a tunner/trader?

But "so called" evo specialits will have facilities to ensure reliability right? That chap tests, tracks what he does right? If there are any problems, customers can refer back.

That does not make me a tuner or a trader.

So.. just an every other evo owner.. come off it. 16/7 evos? Come on here and brag how you never sell for a loss.. always make a profit. Surely you are a tuner/trader (having done it regularly) just not a company.

My money fella not yours.

Lol. not fussed. Just another brag.

I never said they were s**t. and Again.. just another brag. They sell quick cos your "mark up" is lower than what "evo specialists" would charge.. silly. :rasp:

I was confused as to what it is you actually do..got it.. buy, tune (better than tuners), mark up and sell (less than traders) no returns cos you are not a tunner nor a trader. just someone whos done this regularly. :rasp:

You really do have a problem don't you :S If i wanted to brag i would buy a Lambo. Most people in this day in age think a Evo is a chav car ;) Don't worry though fella as this will be the last time i post on cliosport as i'm sick of muppets like you turning everything i do and say into a slagging match when all i am intereasted in is the cars.

Ant, ignore him. People just get jealous.

Personally, I like seeing a differently modded Evo every other week.... and lets face it, they're a damn sight more interesting to read about than a clio with a panel filter and exhaust ;)

Don't let others push you away from using the forum dude :dapprove:
