Artic Blime 182
Alright guys and girls,
We have a Y plate 1.2 clio which the locks no longer work so as a solution we are considering changing the locks, we have found a donor car for the new locks on a 1.4 v plate. However, if we take the locks we will obviously have a immobiliser issues unless we change the ignition as well. (correct me if i am wrong at any point i am merely guessing) based on this we have a few questions:
Is the immobiliser controlled from the ecu?
Is the central locking controlled from the ecu or is there a body control unit?
Will a ecu off a 'V' plate 1.4 Clio work on a 'Y' plate 1.2?
Where is the ECU on a 1.2?
Can the imobilsier be fooled by placing a original key next to the ignition barrel?
Thanks in advance,
