mate i didnt say it was a bodge repair but that most cat c's r heavy smashed

and they have that "substantially damaged repaired/ heavy smashed" plastered on the logbook which is a massive put off point

That may be the case, but surely you can understand what people are saying? A car with a 3 layer paint is going to take a hell of a lot of matching up to make it look factory fresh (As I'd expect my car to be after a repair). Thus it would be more economical to just pay up and write the car off?

PS I have no idea about Cat C or D, but from listening to people in here, I believe the reason it is Cat C is most likely to be the paint.

LOL, including questioning the opinions of people who buy cat D and C cars like me and a couple of others trying to paint an accurate picture on this thread... Lets just agree with him, clearly I dont know what I'm talking about like the rest of us...

Now that last cat C car I sold that just needed a bumper and a bonnet.... hmmm... what was that all about then? Hardly substantial!

ANOTHER PART TIME "SPECIALIST" on the repair scene, enough said there then:rasp:;)

Yeah, and even part time, I know more than you! Unlucky!

I get mine from one of the biggest car insurance salvage re-sellers in the UK, so feel free to tell them your thinking on how they have got it wrong.... oh and the insurers that supply them... what a legend!

He didn't answer my question about being in the repair industry. I've probably forgotten more than he knows.
