Lowering

So what do I need to do?

Can I just buy springs, or do I have to go for a full kit?

What the deal with lowering the rear as well, a lot of kits only seem to sell lowering springs for the front?

Sorry if this is really dense, but I haven’t got much of a clue with lowering.

There are these from demon tweeks

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/catalogue/product_detail.asp?CLS=MSPORT&TLGRP=M009&CODE=SPXLWSPR&PGRP=MP115&GRP=MP115&pcode=SPXS031016&app=Yhttp://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/catalogue/product_detail.asp?CLS=MSPORT&TLGRP=M009&CODE=SPXLWSPR&PGRP=MP115&GRP=MP115&pcode=SPXS031016&app=Y

But there’s only 2 of them, so is this just the front?

Or there are these http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=206http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=206

from K-Tech, but that doesn’t mention lowering the back?

Confused!!!!

I’ve also got a bit of rubbing when I’ve got my alloys on, there only 15’s (195 45 15 tyres), do I just need to put a spacer on?

Any pics of a 1.2 (MK1 PH 3) on 15’s lowered 35mm and 55mm would be great, but if no-one can be arsed don’t worry.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, that’s on a MK 1 PH3.

The front has springs whereas the rear has a torsion bar whihc can be lowered wihtout the need to buy springs, although this doesnt stiffen the back up atall.

Im going for 55mm, koni do the springs and dampers seperatly, so cus im poor im gonna buy the springs and then get the dampers seperate as and when i can afford it. Deamon tweeks do do koni stuff, its just not on the website, but if you ring up theyll be able to give you an idea of the price.

Im only doing it to make it look better, its only a 1.2, so i dont really wanna spend a load of money trying to improve the performance / handeling a tiny bit, just want it to look better.

So, if i buy the springs for the front, then is it just a case of getting the torsion bar tightened, or do you need to put a new one on?

I dunno whether to go for 35mm or 55mm, dont want any catching on speed bumps, but do want to see it look a lot better, and whether 35mm will be big enough to make it look good, i dunno?
