Miss and backfire issue

After my last trackday I developed a missfire which also results in a backfire.

Being a track car I have general spares so the following parts have been changed as a process of elimination.

Coil pack, plugs, leads
Idle control valve
Lambda sensor
Injectors

The problem is still there! I have compression tested the engine an all figures are healthy. Any suggestions? Before I book it in to go on clip

have you tested to make sure all the injectors and coil packs are firing / getting signal? could be a loom problem

I certainly have, called my local renault specialist this morning and after a discussion we believe it to be the crank sensor at fault. I have one of these ordered an to be collected today so hopefully should resolve the issue

well after further trial and error and replacing the crank sensor the issue remains so need to have it plugged into clip! unless anyone has any further suggestions?

yea crank sensor wont cause a miss, will either run or it wont, i recon you need to go through the loom and make sure all the earths are good and clean, bad earths can cause a host of problems...

Had plenty of crank sensors give misfire.
