i love mk1's and this is lovely  only thing that i dont like is the way it sits with the wheels looks to 4x4 for me, smaller dish and tuck some wheel and it would be a winner ;) ......like this

I don't like tuck on mk1s where as I agree they are a little large... Finding 14" bbs rs's .... Good luck.

wow thanks rob :D

went about sorting the suspension out yesterday so i can drive it on the road.. rather than just on my drive haha

the front n/s had more camber for some reason and the inside of the wheel was toutching the coilover

and in turn the ajuster ring had been gazing the inner edge of the tyre

wee swist of the camber bolt and all was sorted on the fronts.

The rears had eaten the tyres after about half a mile

raised the rear so had some clearance

actually int new looks better as its not squatting so much...

then it was time for its 1st propper functioning drive with the new wheels

amazing ... love it.. gets some propper funny looks

its actually OK to drive, as much as a 32 year old car can be i guess, very different to the A1 though. its not that quick at all but it still needs to be set up to get the best from it... but it drives ok and can do 50ish no problems.

Last time I looked in this thread it was a shell, come a long way, looks stunning now. It's a credit to you.

If it were possible I'd have it tucking just a little tyre, no wheel though!

thanks guys :D

your mk1 looked cool winst, plans?

i could go mad with this now and get small bumpers, opening quarter lights, porsche handles, new engine and 14" BBS RS wheels... but i should probably just enjoy it for a bit, been out n about this weekend in it and it feels great, sounds awesome now the exhaust is bedding in. gets a fiar few looks thats for sure!!

My Mk1 is a scruffy dog. I just want to make it fast

You need to get your arches rolled!!!! ;) then just chip away at things now its on the road. What would the new engine be?

Anyway looked great on the RS's at the meet, The icing on the cake:approve:
