Mk3 2006 1.4 16v clio, new battery, draining within 4 hours, no problems with upc, dry jump of booster pack starts first turn of key. Then dead

Sons mk3 clio 1.4 16v, battery dead today, so put a new one on, and dead within 4 hours. Put booster pack on starts, straight away, no problems running charging just turned interior light out, and removed rear lamp in boot, still no joy upc dry
