My 92 16v is not well again. I start it up from cold and its fine. It idles perfectly and there are no apparent problems. Then, when I drive it it starts to misfire and the idling goes all over the place. I have also noticed a smell of unburnt fuel at the exhaust so there is definately a problem. I have checked air flow regulator, idle potentiometer, all the hoses for leaks, and it has recently had new plugs, leads and dizzy cap. Any ideas?

Im quite sure the ignition timing is controlled by the ECU but ill consult my haynes manual now.
