It was a 1.3 injection
Stage 1 performance kit

Did loads of the work myself spent alot of money on it. Was a good car just to small as a daily

My mum had one and it was a cool little car, and parts are silly cheap! That was a 1.3i rover, she then got rid for an early 1.0 auto that was just crap. Yeah it had more 'character' but it was a horrible drive.

I really like it Dave, especially the wheels. Are they minilites?

Not sure about the clear lights, it's the only thing I'd change though.

That's a good idea mate minis will only be worth more in years to come but drop that turbo lump in get it up to scratch you will have a gold mine in your hands!

Steve what would something like that cost? I don't know minis but that sounded like a really nice spec to go racing with, I have to own one at some point on 10" wheels after seeing them racing.

I lol'd at 3 piece 10" wheels, is that possible!! Haha

I know your not asking me but prices on minis is mad theres not set price if I wanted a track car would buy a zcars mini around 10k which all the receipts of Steve's would piss over 10k easy looking at his list!

Yeah I do know they fetch good money, especially some of the more original cars.

For me it would have to still be a mini with front and back subframe just for the way they drive, sliding everywhere.

As nice as z cars are they are basically a kit car with a mini shell and defeat the purpose for me. That linked one is in another level finishing wise, most of that money is in the interior and engine bay from looking at the pics.

Would a fairly nice race ready 1275 be possible for 6-7k?

I would try and find a mini with a turbo lump that's been loved around 4k then strip it a mess with the rest cage etc as that's the fun with a mini doing the work lol

phase1sr- i love how the wheels are sticking out the arches on that, it makes it look like the wheels are more like 7-8 inches wide. that finished with some miglia wide arches or similar, it would look awesome.

i have a 1973 mini at the minute sat on a car spit with a whole new floor pan that's probably going to be getting sold due to loss of interest (the clio's fault) my one has cost me a fortune and it's no where near road worthy, haha.

anyone here on the mini forum?

Thats what I'm referring to, been watching that and the mini festival.

I would love to do a guest drive in one.

Good stuff, ive watched them at brands hatch epic racing.

Body is steel but everything else is carbon fibre, weight around 600kg.

Cheers dude. :)
It had curly carbon miglia arches.
The rear steel arches where cut and raised so I could run the car low without the tyre rubbing the arch.

Sounds expensive that :S

I would love to race a classic shape mini after watching the mini festival at Brands. Something to look into next year, I want to have a drive in a one make championship and I can't think of better than that or Scottish minis just now.
