New 182 owner :)

Alright, I'm Alex. I'm 21 from S. Wales and I've recently bought a clio 182 to upgrade from my 1.6 civic sport EP2.

I'm a member on civiclife, epcivic and on pistonheads so thought I'd join a clio one

Here's some pics of my Civic :

I had tints, hids, new sidelights, double din head unit, various stickerbombing, tow hook, genuine type r spoiler and alloys, spoon n1 exhaust, new manifold, AEM induction kit, sub, amp, jdm rear arb, painted rocker cover and calipers, red footwell lighting and decat pipe. I got loadsss of stick on pistonheads for the stickerbombing and tow hook.

Here's some comments from the wonderful people on pistonheads :

'Also I think your HID lights are illegal as I doubt they have been fitted properly'
'Come on you know he won't have declared the mods' I did declare every mod btw.
'Nice tow hook, do you go offroading often?'
'Do much drifting in your FWD hatch?'
'A quick way to devalue a car by around £2k I reckon.'

I made the car how I wanted to please me tho not the crowd so didn't bother me

Anyways, here's my clio :

I've got planned, new induction kit, new alloys in the future (probs gonna spray the current ones for now) exhaust system, possible decat, white led sidelights, new head unit, lower it.

Looks a clean and tidy example. Make sure to order a set of exhaust mounts when you change the exhaust too, cheapest i found was from northwest performance. Have a search on here about induction kits too, ph1 172 or v6 airbox's flow great and are considerably cheaper than aftermarket ones.

Your civic looks tidy as well btw.

Boring update, put a brand new mot on it. Only failed on a tyre, was dreading more problems but weyyy.

£2400 for an 04 clio 182 with no tax and mot and only 37k on the clock, new tyre and jobs a good un

Nah completely hpi clear

I work in a car auctions so can spot a bargain when I see one

It's a non cup packed one so you will have more options if you go the coilover route

I was tempted to sell it straight on but it drives perfect and the low miles will last me a while

Rightttt then, little updates.

Got some aero wipers, fitted a new head unit and sidelights from my civic to match the xenons.

Here's my new sidelights :

I've also bought an alloy footrest from cliosport 2009 (to be fitted soon) and some brembo discs off ebay as my current ones will need replacing soon.

Righttttt....

Decided to do my renault badges orange (now decided against it, check further down)

Saw a thread on here about Plastidip so order 6 cans of the stuff. Was a bit wary at first but I reckon it came out really well so did my Renault Sport badge first :

Also did the Clio badge but it didn't come out right so I've peeled it off and I'll give it another go on the weekend.

Did my front Renault badge in the plastidip as well, which imo looks a lot better than the orange

And the back boot handle and Renault badge in plastidip (includes new numberplate light)

And a final picture I took with just sidelights :

Stickers will be going on the back of the car when I'm bored of them and I'll eventually buy a splitter and some lowering springs

Thoughts and comments appreciated. (aside from how dirty my car is, I'm aware it needs a good clean )

Iyaaa, long time no speak...


Couple more updates :

Lobbed some Sparco Sprint bucket seats in (Back Seats will be removed fully eventually, not just the bench)

Also fitted a BMC Cda and samco elbow (no pics)

Thats it with the Clio, no more updates for the time being.

Bought a Leon Cupra R 210 on an 03 plate for £1300, Hpi Clear, 1 owner, Tax, mot and part service history. Bargain like
