I won't be a cnut and tell you to search, but there are a lot of threads asking this..

Make sure cambelt and aux belt has been done by a well known specialist or Renault. If not I wouldn't buy it, IMO.

Dephaser being fooked, sounds like a taxi.

Steering wheel melted (not really a problem).

Hi JAy, welcome to the club.

If you do a search, there are 000's of threads on here answering your questions.

There are no common faults as such, just the usual used car checks...

Make sure you HPI the car with a proper check, make sure the cambelt and full kit has been done within the last 5 years or 72,000 miles and make sure its been done by someone who knows how to use the proper renault locking tools.

Spare keys are expensive so its nice to have two with the car.

Check for accident damage as they are a chave racers favourite.

Hi and welcome,

The exhaust hangars tend to perish so the exhaust will droop usually to the left, simple enough fix though :)

The easiest way to check for a front ender/respray is to look for these black tabs (above the license plate to the left of this pic)

Steering wheel will melt.

Exhaust will disintegrate.

I'm sure 70% have lambda, tdc sensor, coil pack issues in their life time.

Welcome!

If you are only 20, google;

Co op young drivers insurance.

It will be dirt cheap, but they do fit a box in your car, only so if you have a crash, they can see if you were speeding at the time and wont have to pay you.
