Newbie after a clio



Hi All

New to the forum Looking to change my car soon and would love a clio obviously a sport but insurance is too high as Im 20 anyone know of a way of getting it down, Ive got 1 years no claim bonus. If all else fails Im thinking about getting a black 1.4 clio.

yeah shop around im 18 and have a 172. im paying about £1500 but drops alot next year, would expect yours to be around 1K

Sack the 1.4 and get a dCi 80/100. Much more torque, so much nicer to drive and ~2x the economy.

If you're a rev-head, you'll have to wait til insurance is justifiable ! :rasp:

PS: Insurance is utterly down to the individual. Just because that guy got £1k, doesn't mean you will. Even if you lived next door to him and had the same DoB it's not absolutely going to be the same price.

Don't do compare websites, ring companies up. Specialists like Sky, Greenlight etc...

try different cars too, like different regs of the same car. for me it varied by a grand, even though they were the same model etc ect
