...commuting to from Leeds to Bradford unfortunately.

Hi all, been looking around the forum for a few weeks now after trying to get some advice on buying a 172/182. Time has been called on the trusty fiesta finesse and now I have some no claims etc it's about time I got something worth driving. All the advice and previous posts have been really useful so far. Im looking for a standard 172, preferably with the belts needing doing so I can get them done somewhere I can rely on /or one that has had them done correctly and with receipts. I been to see a few so far and ones been ok and the others have been pretty worse for wear.

I'm pretty much set on a 172 as it looks like the most affordable option. Looking for them/going to see em etc is really time consuming but looks like its essential if im not going to get stung.

Think I have 'what to look for' sussed but if there are any owners in the Leeds area that can advise or show me around their car so I can actually have someone experienced to show me what to look out for that'd be ace.

Also if anyone has advice on day insurance for test drives it'd be appreciated as I have no idea regarding costs or who to try.

welcome, first time ive seen someone looking for a 172 without the belts done lol, i would strongly advise you get one thats had them done tho, on these engines they idealy need doing by a specialist with the propper locking tools, its £500 job bare in mind, give or take.
