Not a clean starter and Water boiling??

  Clio 172
Hello I own a 2.0 clio sport 51 plate around 2-3 months ago the head gasket went so I got that replaced and did the timing belt and water pump at the same time not a bad way to spend £750, everything was running great then all of sudden the water starts going from the header tank so after weeks and weeks of taking the car back to wear the head was done the guy tells me airline fracture in the block, so to cut a long story short I thought bulls*** got it preassure tested nothing then all of a sudden the tank spurts the water out it held the preassure so i replaced the header cap and boom fixed!! Thank God for that. Fine for like a month. So I take the car on a good run 300 miles temp stays under halfway until I'm nearly home it's over heating water gone bubbles in the tank boiling hot water? Thermstat gone??

Anyway my main concern is that it's not starting right at all it really struggles to turn over it's okay when warm but it nearly cuts out when turning over it's almost like something is'nt cirulating propley?? I'm not a mechanic but I know when my car isn't running right and doesn't sound right, it sounds like the tappits might of gone too anyone had this? I love this car so much I wanna keep it but it's put me in 5k debt with the orignal loan I got to buy it and the MOT and TAX were due when the gasket blew so that's why, all of this has started since the head gasket, I'm scared to drive the car incase it dies, it's worrying me sick I just want it fixed, fit my new full system and get cruising again, these cars are built to be given boot I miss doing that...

you need to take it to a specialist, mine had bubbles in and temp wudnt go to dead centre.
I took it Renault and they plugged it in,ran it for 15 minutes ,said everything is fine.

with yours sound like air is getting in the system.
the header tank cap are meant to fail, to release the pressure made by the air.
by just replacing the cap ,you have not solved the problem.
check your oil cap for white stuff on it.

you need to get a 2nd opinion. your main concern is fixing the leak/ crack.
if have a Renault near you pop in have a talk to them.
depends were you live there are only a few specialist in the country.

why did the gasket want replacing in the 1st place?was the problem fixed before replacing it?

Hi Klm thanks for the reply, the head gasket blew so I thought I would do the belt and all at the same time, this problem started since that but like I say I feel like it has air in the system however I have the same problem the temp gauge wont always sit dead center... However the water is holding at minimum now and when i turned it over lastnight it was alright, this morning dirty turn over then after work it was fine...

Here is the other thing, on a dirty turnover the revs won't sit it's like the revs are moving trying to adjust themselves... Does that make sense? I'm not a mechanic lol but I just know when my car isn't right...

Thanks again

sorry not got back to you.
anyway your car don't sound right, need to take it somewhere else to see what's up.
I no how you feel I bought my 1st 182 and was a lemon.
but am getting there now, new suspension/rack/mounts/pas pipes/ 2 lamba sensors /dogbone/tyres.

sounds like the last place to took it ,don't no what they are doing.

you paid a lot too, a Renault dealership would of cost you so much.
why is your fluid level low?

the engines does sound abit rough at start up, but settle down.
I took mine to Renault ,you sould take yours before more damage is done.

just found out (checked again after a long drive) the bubbles I seen was the fluid going back into the bottle, and my temp stay dead centre now.
where do you live anyway?
if you live in the northwest area , you can go the Renault I go, (the service manager is a clio 182 owner nos the cars inside out) .
I have all my work done there,.

was all the work you had gone guaranteed? why didn't he see the crack when he put the new parts on?

has he fitted all the new parts correctly?
