A jag e type is slower than a trophy and will rust quicker does that mean its worth less ? These are future classics as most rare fords are and the value will only rise as they sold terribly when released probably due to the fact ford wanted something stupid like 23k for one. I haven't driven one but I have driven a 1.7 puma and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic!

Ford owners are just more deluded than Renault owners :p.

The only ford I really have a big soft spot for is the RS200. But at least that was actually something pretty epic and unique.

I can't honestly see why one is worth twice/three times as much as a trophy though.

I'm sure it will be slower and rust quicker than a trophy.

Ford have a following than Renault could only ever dream of..

Ford boys want the best, hence they pay the prices for them.. Unlike renault owners who seem to drive the prices of their cars down...

Huge arches, Alcon calipers, Recaro seats, stunning colour, rare, amazing handling, plentiful power. Option with LSD fitted.

Ohhhhh, and did i say stunning. I'd have one instead of my 200 if I didn't need a car everyday use.

Genuine question, why wouldn't you use one daily?

Comparing a Ford Puma to an E-Type Jag?

One is a supercar of its time and a classic, the other a fiesta with a body kit and trick suspension.

So we are saying its not worth twice what a Trophy is, it's just the Renault fans tend to de-value their own cars?

That makes sense to me.

Although £10k is laughable IMO.

If you don't understand you never will! You seem to be ignoring all the points listed.

The spec is huge! It's like saying a Clio V6 is just a body kitted 1.2.

they're known for rust issues, driving it through winter with the grit and everything would be a no no for me, and putting daily wear and tear on it I also wouldn't want to do. It's a rare car that's started going up in value again. The suade steering wheel goes messy quickly and the rear arches catch every stone possible. I just wouldn't want to drive it everyday.

Bingo. It doesn't matter, maybe the residuals of the Clio might ease the pain of not having an Frp... oh no wait a minute.

The difference between the Trophy and the Frp? One feels like a Clio the other doesn't feel like a Puma.

Go on then what does it feel like? Lambo, Porsche, Lotus, Fiesta...?

Just lol! Delusional is all I can think of tbh.

Fair play you love a car you pay the monies but that doesn't mean its highly unique. I'm sure its a fantastic car with lots of extras but 99% of the public couldn't give a s**t about it where as the Escort cosworths and RS200 etc are all well known and renowned classics.

Btw I'm not mocking or trolling nor do I know much about the FRP but I'm taking it from an ousider view where the other Fords are well known for legendary status but the FRP just isn't.

As mentioned though a car is only worth what people are willing to pay and people are obviously happy to pay the price they demand. I personally don't mind the FRP but it's at the bottom of my list of classic Fords.

You can get a really good FRP for £6k. A really good Trophy for £5k.

So for 1k extra you could have better handling, less refurbs on the shocks, LSD, Alcon 4 pots etc.

I never said I wasn't delusional. The point is you're lolling at my comments whilst freely admitting you know little about the car and nothing about it's history.

More comments from people who have never driven one. And I hate saying that because we pass comment everyday on cars we haven't driven but it's the perception people have that means you have to drive one to get it. Same with any "fast" Ford really.

The Series 1 isn't great. A standard Escos isn't great. The Frs is flawed but the fact is people don't care. We love them.

Pep got it spot on about his Frs vs the Golf Gti he had before. Like the Trophy the others cars are better in 9/10 circumstances. I said it lots during Frp ownership the Trophy is a better all round car as Pep said about the Gti but we both still wanted to drive the respective Ford.

I will again state the same thing I always have. The love for the car or from Ford lovers in general may be that simple fact, they feel more special to us.

I know the Frp feels more special to me than someone who doesn't bother about Fords that much.

Ja, teh Fords have some issues there!

Keeping a close eye on the mk6 fiesta to see if they really got over the rust issues. A work colleague got 2 full resprays out them for his mk5 Fiesta years. Was utterly shocking. Might have helped if he had actually cleaned the car but none the less!
