oil cooler or not?

Iirc correctly Fred the car boiled itself at that race but he couldn't be sure of temps due to dodgy sensors etc then it spat a rod next time out, more than likely the oil taken a roasting didnt help that.

I think its unfair to say a car doesn't need one Tony when your running one of a different type.

Thermostatic plate and you'll never have to worry IMO.

nope, it did the oulton park race after donnington, then a full day round the ring, then spat a rod after half a day at spa ;)

ok thanks guys for all your input, i decided to remove the aircon rad as it doesnt work anyhow due to split pipe and the fins were all bent etc so with air going into the water radiator which looks like new should cool the engine more efficiently, hopefully got another track day in the next couple of weeks so will monitor temps and pressure again.
