Only Blowing Hot Air After Coolant And Thermostat Change

As per the title, changed the coolant and thermostat yesterday, bled quite a bit from the system etc. And afterwards it only wants to blow hot air out of the vents even on minimum on the climate control. Seems a coincidence that it's happened at the same time as the coolant change and thermostat change? I highly doubt anything separate to this has just happened to go wrong in the same 2 hour period.

Checked the thermostat before it went in in some boiling water and it opened as it should, and also you can feel that the thermostat is open from the top pipe to the radiator being hot.

So, any ideas?

If the internal temperature of the car cabin has fallen to the overnight low of 11 degree`s C, then the climate control will blow hot air to raise it to 15 C.
Quite normal.

Potentially, It hasn't gone away though you see, started as soon as we started the car after it'd been changed.
Did you bleed the system Niall? Could be an airlock maybe...
We bled it a few times, let a litre or two out, bled for around 2x 20 seconds. What would be the normal amount to bleed?

Just when it starts to flow smoothly mate.

Yeah bled all good.

The solution given on CSOC seems to be correct about the cracked cog in the driver's footwell. Going to cable tie it now and apparently that sorts it. Will update.
