Fitted new harnesses to the Trophy this weekend but still got the seatbelt pre tensioners and seatbelt not fastened indicator to sort out. Whilst I know people normally fit the pre tensioner resistors in the block under the seat - is it not possible to fit the resistors across the two wires which connect to the pre tensioner via the small plug ? I notice that the drivers seat only has a black wire which goes into the buckle and looks like it connects to earth when the seatbelt is inserted. Is it not possible just to connect this wire direct to earth to defeat the seatbelt not fastened indicator ?

pretensioner resistors ?

There are actually two wires which connect to the seat belt buckle - cut these wires off and insulate each end for safety and yes - no more seat belt warning. On the pre tensioners when you cut the plugs off there are two wires - one brown, one red - connect the resistor and fuse across these two and it works - airbag light comes in when ignition switched on then airbag light goes out.
