pretensioner wires, under seats

ok, every now and then i get the air bag and serv light on,

which i assume is the pre tensioner wires under the passenger/driver seat

is it ok to unplug these???

only asking as i was going to cut the loom off and put some new wires in

bad idea? or not?

and will the air bags or anything else go off if i unplug the wires under there???

Sounds like a good idea to me, they come on and off all the time for me it would be better to have a decent conection. It wont deploy the airbags

cool, so i guess as long as the ignition is off it's ok to unplug

there are severak wires under there,

do you know what wire does what?

Dissconect the battery for half hour if I were you before doing any work.

Look under the seat on the passenger side and you will see a grey connector with a blue and brown wire. Just cut them out of the connector one by one and solder them together and insulate with heatshrink.

When done, look on the driver side and do the same with the brown and blue wires. You will also notice that there will be more wire in the connector on the drivers side. Just cut out the blue and brown and when done re connect the connector.
