Quick question?

Hi

This is probably a really easy question.
Is there anyway of looking at your brake pads to see if there is any pad left? I just want to know whether my pads need changing because sometimes it sounds rough when braking at slow speeds, fast seems fine. I'm not sure whether its just dirt build up because we don't use the car much.

Its a 172 mk1 if that makes any difference?

Also would it fail its mot if the pads were nearly gone

I was going to but I really can't make up my mind. Its seems too good to sell, as I have already had the 36k service even though I only have 34.5k on the clock and I have also had the cambelt done as well (Thanks Mike, top bloke)

So probably won't sell after all lol
