I'm in the railway yard level at the moment. Well, actually past that bit, I've just got into the depot building where it says I can use night vision. Quite far into that bit, but got shot when absailing down the rope too quickly :(

Has anyone finished the game yet? What I'm trying to ask is, will it take a while to get through it all?

Rainbow 6 without a doubt, i had both at the same time and i have played GOW maybe twice, it just doesnt get a look in with R6: Vegas.

well your miles behind me yet Scutch, its getting pretty hard where I am now, so yes, its going to take a while. There are a few levels where you have to guard one of your team mates whilst he hacks computers (you and the other guy defend him), on the dam level this is pretty hard, I got past it yesterday, now I'm in another level doing the same again and well, quite frankly, getting the sh*t kicked out of me. (it does get a bit repetative and tedious having to do this over and over).

I reckon I'd like it BUT I do get easily frustrated by games that are overly realistic and stupidly hard, I might end up snapping the disc lol.

Tough call.

R6 will definately last longer single player, but I personally have played Gears more. Depends if you prefer realism to action, if its realism then get R6, if action then gears.

I dont like it when games are better than me

This happens a lot and has cost me dearly in controllers LOL

its not THAT hard, its hard enough not to be a walk over, but not hard enough to frustrate.

yes there is, although IMO, its not one of the better levels, but will give you a feel for the game obviously.

told you that bit was hard, your not THAT far from the end now, I don't recall seeing a sheild around there, you've got to fend off the two guys that come from behind you, they caught me out at first (they come out slighly after the guys infront of you)

How annoying you save the hostage and it gets well good lights go out lots of terrorists drop down bullets flying everywhere and the demo ends!

ffs! Have to say, stonking game :D

I've had bad experiences with previous Rainbow Sixes. The whole planning bit at the start of the level used to drive me insane. I like to play it out as it happens, might be buying this tomorrow or Saturday. Its mint :D

Any controller smashage?

I got as far as turning the TV on, its sat there with Fuzzys on it. Next step get xbox on. One thing at a time though ;)

No I nearly switched it off though, then I decided to work out the keys, stupiding loading screen disappears to quickly. Its mint, the snake cam is sex lol

yep, i know exactly what you mean, absolutely no planning in this one, just straight in there, the good thing is, you can do as much or as little (within reason) as you choose, send the two other guys in first, or go yourself, this gets a bit harder later on as they tend to get their arses kicked, then you have to help them out whilst getting shot at, some of the situations I've managed to get out of beggar belief, later on in the game the terrorists get more advanced, throwing smoke grenandes, flash bangs and using night vision, awesome.

Lol I was doing everything myself then I decided, hey I have two human shields with me, game don't end if they get shot. ;)

The short amount of night vision in this level was the tits. :D

favourite weapons?

Mine have gotta be the silenced MP9 with laser sight.

Add a couple of incendiary bombs and roberts your mothers brother.

i like the tactal shield with desert eagle or raging bull. But the p90 with reflex scope takes some beating. Love seeing the bullets in the mag :D

takes some finding to be honest. My little bro was playing on my account for about 5 mins when I went for some food and he found it, lol.

Was like, "look what i found!" :p

i've only seen the shield on one level through the whole game, its resting up against a wall that you HAVE to walk past, so not difficult to find (there's a dead guy nearby IIRC), I'm a fan of the MP5. After completing it last night, I tried the other single player mode (terrorist assault i think?) f00k me, that's difficult, they just come running for you all at once and don't wait for you to find them, pretty hard when your by yourself.

I was on half day this morning, so played it before I went in to work. Finally got past the trainyard level into the mine and now onto the Factory :)

Class. I was using the sniper rifle with 12x zoom from a high point on the trainyard level. Sending my two team mates to ground level and enticing the terrorists out so I could pick them off one by one with a headshot. Class. The weapons are apparently ultra realistic, even down to reloading times etc. Tom Clancy knows his stuff :approve:

They should do an Andy McNab game, I'd buy an SAS game. Imagine being able to recreate the Iranian embassy siege. Lol.

did you order from play.com ? my orders were really f**ked up, I ordered the Xbox 360 VGA cable and it was dispatched on Saturday, then I ordered a HD-DVD on Monday that was dispatched on Tuesday, they both arrived together on Thursday??

Hehe. Obviously, give it a bit of time to bed in, much like any other awesome game. At first its strange getting used to all the buttons and what they do. But eventually, its well worth it :)

Been playing this to death over the weekend. Class. The Vegas Casino levels are awesome.

Also, a note regarding the shield, there's one on the first Vegas Strip level, where you have to breach the casino. Its lying on the floor right at the start near a police car. Quite cool too, but you have to lose a heavy duty weapon to carry it, and only get to use a pistol with it.

The game seems to be getting harder now. The b******s are using tear gas and flash grenades on me and my men. Clever f*ckers!

As soon as I sort my xbox live out were all gonna have 2 have a bash. Can play up to 4 on terrorist hunts =]
