Rear Shock Absorbers for 172FF

While cleaning my car this morning, i noticed that my rear passengers side shock absorber had some oil residue around around the middle of its o/d :S

Would this mean my shock is on its way out ?

If so what do you guys recommend as a replacement instead of going down the route of a coilovers kit ?

And how much is a shocker from Renault ?

And are the 172FF and 182 FF ones the same ?

And outta curiousity, do Cup pack car have different shockers and springs ?
Or is it just diffrent shock absorbers ?

P.s will this do any damge to my springs if its on its way ?

And how bad will it mess up my handling ?

  182 inside
your better off buying the full set with springs from larkspeed.com or europerformance.co.uk

will be adjustable and lower the car a wee bit.

Ok cheers i'll have a look ;)

But i've just bought Sportlines :(

So ma just go don the road of new shockers instead of a whole kit ;)

Does anyone know who makes the Standard 172/182 Rear shocks ?

I did a quick search and read somehere its bilstein.

Is this correct ?
As i don't want to have a different make of rear shocks to the standard Front ones :S

And totally screw up my handling :(

I've ordered 2 from Renault today, they'll be here on thursday.

They were £53 each.

Was looking at koni's, but i'll just wait till i can get coilovers ;)
