Removing gear stick gaitor

  LY R26 #288
So I was driving to work this morning, changed gear and the plastic bit at the bottom of the gaitor popped out. The clips have broken.

Is there any way to remove it? I can't see how you get the top bit off the gearstick?

I'm going to repair it. But it'd be easier off the car.

There's a cable tie that holds it on at the top.

Cut that and it'll pull over the gear knob.

As said pull it up over the gear stick and you'll see the cable tie holding it on. Cut that, and it'll just pull off over the top of the gear stick.

Thanks lads. All done now. Couple of screws where the old clips were as done in robs guide and it's back in and sorted now. :)

Mines been like this for about a month now. I've ordered a new gaitor just cause it'll look better so I'll fix the plastic bit when I put it on. Think it's the surround that's broke on mine too lol.
