Removing Rear Glass

Hi,

I am planning on changing my boot door, As I have quite a nasty dent in it.

Quote for dent removal is £210.

As I have tinted rear glass, I was wondering if I could take it out and put it in the new door?

Ideas??

i think theyre bonded in the mk2's so id let a professional get it out.

you can try welding wire and sawing back n fourth to cut the sealer, but you'll need to make a hole in it first to get it started

my dad has a windscreen removal kit with plenty of grades of steel wire to cut the sealant holding them in. watch out for the heating element though?
