Replacing Shocks Under Warranty (Troubles)

  BG182 FF
Hi,

I've had OE Rear shocks fitted recently @ a specialist. I've got a leak from one of the shocks and need it replacing. Apparently you can do this under warranty of the item itself as an OE part.

Has anyone had this problem and resolved? Seems to be a ball-ache speaking to Renault directly.

Yeah - The parts were purchased from Renault themselves, I've got the garage to phone the dealer as apparently they need to inspect it first.

I was hoping it would be a bit more straight forward.

I just fucked Reno off after i had a rear shock fail in under 9months and around 8k miles, wanted the car for the day to inspect it

Well, I must say I had a nice surprise today (and generally over the course of the week). Renault Toomey Southend were great! Everything was ready and they knew I had travelled a fair way, so ensured the car was first on. No issues at all. Really pleased, couldn't have asked for anything more.

They also went a bit above and beyond what I expected with a car clean and also a thorough inspection and checklist for things to keep an eye out for going forward.

Would highly recommend.

Oh, and props to Mark Fish for ensuring it all the paper work was sorted in time and also with genuine concern.

Hadn't done this before so was sceptical (as you can see above) but it was actually pretty straight forward but I would suggest this was down to good service on both sides.
