How easy is it to remove a steering rack without taking the engine out?

Literaly jujst got back from dropping mine at the garage...

The sub frame has to be dropped..

The steering rack cost is anywhere between £150 and £200 +VAT

The Labour is about 2 hours.

Totalling between £400 and £500

I already have a rack and the labour will all be done by me so will cost nothing

just wanted to know the quickest and easiest way!
