I must admit defeet Guys - I think my alzheimer's has kicked in, 1996 was a long time ago now ( 27yrs to be exact ) - however I'm just glad I got to own these things back in the day when they where fresh out of the box.

and that's absolute best case scenario. Just as likely it would still make 150bhp, those chips weren't very sophisticated.

Did you b****cks make 20bhp off an exhaust and a bullshit chip. Absolutely no f**king way.
Yes escos had aero delete as an option later on.

If an RS2000 could go as fast as an escos that easy it would have been a better seller than an escos!

Didn’t take many pictures as I wasn’t there long and spent most of it catching up with people but Watergate is always good for cars. Scrutineering last night for example:

Plenty of tasty motors, about 5 more WRC/Group B cars of various eras, 1000bhp skylines, race cars etc, Megane R26.R, Cayman GT4, so on. David Richards popped along as usual.

Like this on the RallyPrep stand though. They build all sorts of cool stuff but one of the things they’ve had a hand in recently is this. Steve Nichols was the chief designer for McLaren and (contrary to what Gordon Murray likes to claim) designed the MP4/4. This is his latest concept, the Nichols N1A. 900kg, 650 normally aspirated bhp, manual h-gate. Lovely.

I love an Aston. Not too keen on the newer vantage with the funny face but the rest of them are just absolute things of beauty. The silhouette of them is sublime.

I still half wish I’d gone db9 or v8 vantage instead of the M3 some days.
Yeah new Aston's have absolutely nothing on older models, circa 2010-13 DBS or V12 Vantage for example

I love pretty much any Aston as well, but having any variation of '007' on the plate is just the height of sadness.

I'd be so embarassed driving round with that, and I drive a Fiesta ST Halford's Edition.

Going back to the other thread, to me that plate is no different to climbing out of the car dressed head to foot in Aston Martin branded clothing, complete with baseball cap and bumbag.

Yes. Very much the behaviour of a slightly thin on top closet bald man who works in accounts.

The interior is just as good if not better - the chap bought it from his friend who did all the work.

Amazing job

I don't get the appeal personally, the styling of the older ones has some retro-chic, but the later ones look pretty dire.

Saw an Aston in the US once and the license plate was “Not a spy”

They still make me moist. A colleague bought one a good few years ago. Such a presence.
