timing belt change due

does anyone now of a garage other than renault that is willing to take this job on, need it in the cardiff to swansea area

AP Developments http://www.ap-developments.com/ listed in the traders section are up Swansea way. Had a price in the region of £300 plus vat for a cam belt change (and 195 plus vat for the aux) based on a 172 with air con. Would be cheaper if you've got a cup. Not sure whether if you have a non-sport clio it means you can be less choosey about who looks at the engine but it's probably worth ringing a few local garages, tell them what you've got and ask if they have the correct renault tools and have done the same work before.

Other than that I think quite a few south wales types take their cars to Fred @ BTM in Birmingham again listed in the traders section on here - (you might need to join properly as a member to view the traders section though). It's an option I'm considdering at the moment so if you do find another Renault Specialist or at least someone who knows what they are doing with respect to Clio's in the Cardiff area I'd be interested to hear.

thanks for that might use them, but i just bought the timing kit to do it and i going to do it myself now. I have done timing belts on these engine before just in megane and lagunas as i am a qualified mechanic. so hopefully i do it this sat.
