Titanium 182 (Beasley Clio182 Old Car)

  Clio 200 Raider
Well ive been frequenting these forums for years now but rarely post. I feel i would like to post this time as i have now purchased a clio sport again.

Well i had a clio 172 cup not so long ago then changed to a 225 inferno megane which i still have.

However i still found myself looking at clios and got the bug to get another one and really fancied a 182 this time round.

This one came up local to me so would of been rude not to check it out, all seemed very nice and had the mods i was already planning so saving time there.

Did a quick search on here and realised its Beasley Clio182 Old Car from only 4 or so months ago.

original progress/build thread here:

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?675190-Rescuing-my-182

I noticed that Beasley Clio182 was wondering where his car was now after he was checking out the reg the same day i bought it i later found out over PM.

It so happens the guy he sold it to traded it in soon after and i found it at a local respected peuguot/citroen specialist.

Its had the V6 air mod and Ktec exhaust fitted aswell as the 98 ron map.

It pulls a lot harder across the range and the exhaust note is superb it put a massive smile on my face and im happy to be a cliosport owner again.

What drew me to this car is the condition it really is very good for the age of car and shows how much time, money and effort went into by Beasley Clio 182.

the interior is immaculate and looks virtually brand new and thank goodness the steering wheel is totally new looks amazing.

Couple of plans i will be looking to change in the future:

  • Cup Spoiler
  • Lowering Springs
  • Carbon Badges
  • New Renault Sport badge in place of clio one.

Things that need fixing:

Air con - needs ac pressure switch
windscreen chip
headlights are hazy needs a polish

So after the day i bought it i went for blast and took so photos (sorry phone camera pics) as how it stands now.

Nice to see my legacy goings on :) that car is the best one I've owned today, was awesome never ever let me down ! Sad times to see it gone but I'm glad somebody is looking after it !

Subscribed and looking forward to seeing your progress buddy! As always any questions feel free to ask :) I know it backwards as we have already discussed lol

Some updates to the car today i thought i would share.

  • New RS badge fitted replaced instead of the clio lettering.

  • New Black battery tray fitted.

  • Removed K and N sticker from the air filter as this was bugging me. i may also remove the engine cover aswell.

  • Gave the car a good wash including polishing the exhaust tips.

  • brought some very cheap new matts for the front as the back already had matts and they will do the job, im not after fancy or expensive ones so some cheap halfrauds ones will suffice.

  • Removed the rear window graphics that were on the car when i bought it.

Ive ordered the cup spoiler so this should be with me in the next few days, might look at new number plates aswell maybe smaller ones? But not to small as i think they look awful otherwise. Car needs to be lowered aswell the back sits to high. I have cooksports on my megane and it transformed the handling aswell as the look.

Looking to get springs fitted this weekend all being well and also get a few carbon fibre bits wrapped.

Believe the car needs abs reluctor ring as at low speeds the abs tried to kick in . Hopefully sort that this weekend.
A quick cheeky pic

Cooksport springs now on and front and rear badges now wrapped in black, may change to carbon at later point

The cooksports are a massive improvement for me the car just felt to soft and there was a bit of body roll before. Much better confidence through the corners now

Tried to take pics of the car on cooksports, but dont think the photos do the look of the car any justice looks much better in the flesh but you get the idea.

Cheers, im liking the black badges at the minute but may change in the future.
The side bullets could do with being done again as one of them is peeling.

yes it sold mate a few weeks back. so sad to see it go, but no longer needed 2 cars so decided to run just my megane 225. couldn't justify keeping it and the wife said it had to go.

guy bought it from wales. I've pointed him to these forums but don't think he's on here or whether he plans to visit. still going to keep my eye out in the future for it was easily the best clio sport I've had.
credit to you mate it was such a clean example. i enjoyed doing bits to it but was time to move on.

may even get a clio sport again in future most Liquid yellow or trophy
