Tyre pressures ?

Without sounding too daft. I've got Michelin exalto tyres and noticed they looked on the flat side. Obviously before inflating I had a look at the recommended pressures.

Max pressure 51 psi (Canada and US codes only) what's the difference?

And on another part it says "never inflate beyond 40 psi seat beads"

Now I've put the pressures to 40 and it looks slightly like the Walls (half a cm) from the rim have come out slightly. Normal ?

Most people run 33 Front 31 Back but i find that is still quite a hard ride in mine.

Changed now, 34/32, out of interest why are the rears less than the fronts?
