Updating Jailbroken iPhone 4

Hi people,

Need a bit of advice. I'm looking to upgrade to ios 5 now that theres an untethered jailbreak available for it.

My current version is 4.3 I think and is jailbroken.

So my phone has been backed up in itunes but will it carry all my contacts etc over when I upgrade to ios5?

Will I be able to load the backup from the jailbroken firmware to the new ios 5 firmware thats not jailbroken?

I think you need to backup. Then restore with the jailbroken OS. It will then carry all your stuff.

Someone else can confrim though

Thanks for the advice mate.

I backed up, upgraded to ios5, then jailbroke it before restoring.
