Waxing help!

I had a quick go at waxing my bonnet this afternoon for the first time with meguairs nxt tech wax. After i waxed it looked nice and shiney, but now its gone a dull colour and lost its shine. So my question is what have i done wrong? Any help appreciated, something silly no doubt ive done wrong.

Thats an odd one, not just damp settled on the car making it look dull?

Go out and give the bonnet a wipe with a clean cloth if your really worried!
