what do you do when..

you've washed it, given a couple of swirly patches a polish out, started sealing it... and then it rains?!!! help!

I would use a spray sealant that you can use on wet paint - Prima Hydro or Duragloss Aquawax.

I'd just leave it and have a go at it again when rain goes off.

Or try and get some of polish/wax residue off paintwork when rain just started (even though it'll look a mess) so no s**t sticks to it and wash it and try again when rain goes off

Too true! I drove from Nottingham to bloody Chester to see my sister and when I got there I was thinking why does my bumper look funny. I'd forgotten to take the damn wax off the whole front bumper!!
