What Should I Be Covering Up When Cleaning Engine Bay?

im gonna be giving my engine bay a good clean and im not too sure what i should be covering up with bags to protect from the water?

im taking the battery cover, engine cover and strut brace off to clean the bay

Yeah battery, coilpack, distributor any exposed electrical connections, air filter if of the exposed variety which yours isn't by the looks of things
 
I've got two dogs and I find those little black 'pooper scoop' bags excellent for covering up he components - just the right size and you can tie it off with the handles too lol!!

There isnt to much to worry about on getting wet on the 182 lump.

Use as little water as possible and keep it away from anything that looks like getting it wet would be unhealthy!
