@bvnditi with spacers you probably wouldn't have had to notch the base out.
I have included a photo which just about shows the spacers I made.
From memory 25mm diameter Aluminium bar with a 8.5 mm drilled hole through the middle & 25mm in length.
With OMP Bases the seats sit wonky, Ideally you need a spacer under the two inside bolt holes. I think it's around 25mm but it's long time since I did mine.
Swore at it as I had a quick flashing red immobiliser light.
Took two attempts taking the negative battery terminal off & on before it decided to behave as though nothing had happened!!
@bvnditi
Just looked through my photos of when I retrofitted my cruise.
Have Attached photos of the squib, cruise panel & the wiring.
From Memory the black plug is for cruise & the grey plug is horn. The two yellows are for the airbag.
So check your car & if you have the black plug I believe...
If you press the cruise switch, do you get Set come up on the dash?
I managed to retro fit cruise to my 172.
I added the clutch switch, A 182 Squib & a Volantech panel for the operation of cruise etc.
There is also a guide on here...
I also used Autoglym SRP yesterday on my Daily with Gtechniq C2V3 on top. 7 Hours from start to Finish. Have used SRP for years as I am definitely old (School)
I like the fact that you made it yourself, at least you know it's made correctly. Looks spot on.
Quite often I have bought parts & thought I could have made that better.
