I'm looking for a replacement Rear Brake carrier for my 172 cup ..I'm struggling to find a supplier ..Any ideas ? Or is a main dealer the best bet ?

As "Danny Malin" would say ..."Back on th' Road again" after 18 or so months ..Just refreshed the suspension front and rear , as well as the brakes all round ( had the suspension for prob 3 yrs but couldn't muster up the enthusiasm to fit it ) .. The funny thing is I didn't realise or forgot...

What's the difference between the 172 Cup front springs and the 182 Cup front springs that Kam racing supply ?

I'll look at getting the Exclusive back on the road after this one is sorted with Cambelt on a few months ..its been off the road since covid more or less ..

Don't blame you ...My daily is going off road for some work so I need to use it to work ..the clio is more per month than my daily , which is 35 per Yr 🤔..

I own that Cup now ..prob had it over 3 yrs now ..As a matter of interest where did you get the welding done ? My rear arches are starting to rust and I need a recommend for a decent garage to sort them..I'm in Manchester 👍

Unless they've reop my apologies, its not Birchdown it was the Renault specialist in Birchwood , Warrington ..can't remember the name atm ..I'll find out from the service history when I'm home from work ..

Thanks for the replies ..what I've got is dynax UB and hydrate 80 ..so I'll take off the skirts , check them then treat the internal rust ...there's only so much you can do to it I suppose ..1 thing is certain on these models is rust on the sills 🥴

After a few yrs off the road but mainly kept under a canopy/ car port I thought I'd remove my rear door cars and check to see the rear sills ..The car underneath ( around 2018 ) was complimented by the now shut down Renault specialist "Birchdown" .as being one of the cleanest and solid Ph1...

It's Grey not cream 😁..tbf ive Competed in mine for a few yrs and thry are very supportive and the sliding isnt a problem , as the bolsters hold you firmly inmposition ..great cars

A shiney new MOT for the Cup ..initially it failed due to no brake lights...🤔..Upon investigation it turns out that the brakes were wired to the clutch ..2 mins job sorted ..😆goodness knows who's had their mitts on them ..luckily I've not done many miles in it since I bought it last year ..so...
