As you say once you fitted one once it’s easier the second time.
The only other advice I would give to anyone fitting a “used” one is change the bulbs.

It’s sorted now. Seems the Insurer were concerned the car was being used on the road without MoT, I would have thought a quick check on the dvla site by them would have answered their concerns, it’s been sorned for many months !
its been referred back to the Insurer by Greenlight and as I’ve agreed not to drive it on the road unless it’s MOTd they are happy to Insure .......how ridiculous
No, it’s has to be insured and MOTD to be taxed but not the other way round. I have 5 motorcycles and a similar number of cars all SORNd some not MoTd and I’ve never had a problem before
