Budget would be helpful as sports focussed smart watches can be expensive. If you want battery length of a week, you need to avoid Apple Watches and I don’t believe android based smartwatches will last either. Garmin fenix or epic ranges will last a week and offer pretty much all you’ve listed...

I’ve got a couple of Ambilight TV’s. I use the backlighting for everything and set to Game mode so it’s as dynamic as possible. Absolutely love it. If you want to go the TV route, try and not buy the low end ones. They UI is poor and laggy but noting a third party device like a games console...

An ambernic or retroid device would do remote play for Xbox. They’re android based devices for game emulation so have all the controls etc.

They didn’t call me. They emailed me a half price offer and I called them. Renewed for nearly the same suite of packages for slightly less then I was paying but obv with a slightly reduced offer (no multiroom, no kids and no UHD).

The Analogue stuff is quite expensive but provides the modern connections to work on HDMI tvs flawlessly and have setting to make it look like a CRT.

Is it wrong that for the Mario front cover, middle of the last pic you posted, I can’t help but think it should’ve been ‘It’s a time’?!

another great update. Bearing in mind you were one of the programmers, if you had the desire, could you finish what you started or did the 8 programmers have specific disciplines?

Can't believe I missed this thread until now. Super interesting and directly relevant to hardware I spent my own money on and thoroughly enjoyed playing. Looking forward to reading the next instalments.
